Day at the Park (or at home)

We used quite a few of these activities at home with my 2 year old. I have an 8 month old at home too, so getting to the park is hard sometimes! Thankfully, a lot of these activities are easy to adapt to at home too! Next time we get a day just with me and my toddler, I can't wait to try them at the park!
We did A1 "Blast Off" at home this week. Emma LOVES to jump off things, so we used that to our advantage. She had to recognize the number, count to it, and then she was able to shout "BLAST OFF!" and jump off her step stool. She loved being able to count to numbers other than 3 before jumping. She stumbled on a couple of the bigger numbers at first but we worked on them and she was able to count and recognize her numbers just so she could BLAST OFF!
Thankfully for our first, she has an easy name. She loved kicking a small ball around the house as she worked on spelling her name (A3). E-kick! M-kick! M-kick (that double M gets her!!!) A-kick! We've started adding clapping and stomping in the car to work on it as well!
I love that this module has activities we can do at home or at the park. There are some amazing activities to work on social skills and friends.
I have been using the tips at the end to help with transitions. Leaving the park, going to bed, going home from daycare; normally these are rough transitions for our 2 year old, but these strategies have helped us put it on her level so she is more prepared to transition and deal with her emotions!
